Near-net Shaped Cut Parts
Another value-added service that our Service Centers provide is the ability to produce highly-customizable or complex shapes with our near-net shaped cut parts. These parts can also be produced in small batch sizes so you can get exactly what you need.
Other benefits include:
- The ability to produce parts which are much closer to the required finished size, shape, and tolerance.
- Maximization of utilized material in the finished part versus wastage in comparison to machining processes.
- A greater uniformity from part to part and an overall improvement in quality.
- Reduction of the total number of manufacturing stages.
- Reduction of time for manufacturing, with manufacturing times often being more than halved.
- An overall energy saving possible throughout your entire manufacturing process.
- Reduction of cost of manufacturing, resulting from a combination of the above factors.

Virtek® Laser QC®
Virtek® Laser QC® is a rapid inspection system that employs lasers to measure the accuracy of flat and formed parts, as well as:

- Measures tolerances within 0.002 inches (0.05mm).
- Each part is inspected with more than 500 data points per second.
- Scanning process captures the complete profile of existing parts or templates.
- Quickly identifies quality issues by verifying system calibration before each scan to ensure repeatable accuracy.
- Reverse engineers a part to create a CAD file to use for cutting.
Product Forms
Our product forms include strip, sheet, plate, bar, forging stock, wire,
welding products, fittings, pipe and tubing.
