Sustainability

Haynes International is committed to a culture of openness, trust, and integrity in all aspects of our business. It is critical that all employees, vendors, and customers understand, and accept, that in everything we do, we will conduct ourselves from the vantage point of “doing the right thing for the right reason” at all times. There are no shortcuts to integrity. We will, without exception, adhere to these high standards governing our business conduct for the good of our company, our employees, and our customers. We have an active Sustainability Steering Committee comprised of Senior Management, which includes oversight by the Board of Directors. The Sustainability Steering Committee is an integral part of the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) process at Haynes. The Committee meets regularly and reviews our sustainability progress and priorities, and ensuring accountability at all levels of our organization.

In our world, there’s no room for almost.

Haynes International has an enterprise level environmental policy, which focuses on fostering a safe workplace, while protecting the environment, complying with laws, and health and safety management systems. We utilize all available resources to improve quality, environmental, health and safety management systems, as well as set objectives and targets for each. This policy is communicated to contractors and vendors who provide services on site, and we periodically audit selected suppliers from an environmental compliance perspective.

Haynes International has a number of policies in place governing ethical conduct, including, without limitation:

Our employees must certify compliance with our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics annually, and regular training is provided to employees regarding these and other policies. In addition, we maintain a whistleblower hotline with access available on an anonymous basis online or by telephone.

Our alloys help make a positive impact for the environment.

Haynes International is conscious of our environmental impact and are actively working to lighten our carbon footprint. The ever increasing demand for clean energy generation has led to the development of several emerging technologies that need high-temperature alloys for demanding operating conditions. Our highly recognizable high-performance HASTELLOY® and HAYNES® alloys are widely used in traditional power generation, aerospace, chemical processing, and several other industries. Our alloys are used in solar farms that generate clean energy and replace fossil fuels. To read more about how our alloys positively impact our daily lives, click here.

We are doing what is right now for the sustainability of Haynes International.

We continue to engage in meaningful collaboration with key stakeholders, such as customers and regulators to find synergistic resilience measures and adapt to changing regulatory expectations. These actions will also help us meet investor expectations on risk management and stay focused on the risks of infrastructure damage and liability.
