Provide and promote health & safety and support the needs of our internal and external customers.

Role Qualifications: (Required) & (Preferred)

ASN in nursing ( R ). Registered Nurse ( R ). Certified in Occupational Health Nursing in an industrial setting ( P ).

Three years nursing experience ( R ). One to three years experience with Workers Compensation case management ( P ).

Specific Accountabilities for the Role:
  1. Medical Care:  Evaluate, provide emergency care and manage follow up care for all worker compensation injuries/illnesses.
  2. Manage the daily operations of the medical department including : managing supplies, equipment, m
  3. Medical Surveillance: Evaluate, manage, and document the following programs: Hearing Conservation, Crane Operators, Blood Borne Pathogens, DOT physicals, and Respirator Medical Certification.
  4. Education/Wellness:  Administration of CPR program, Blood Drive, Flu Vaccine, Blood Borne Pathogens, New Hire and Management Orientation.
  5. Compliance: Ensure proper procedures and documentation of above responsiblilities meet governmental and labor contract requirements.
  6. ERT (Emergency Response Team): Provide support and medical direction to Emergency Response Team members.
  7. Ergonomics Committee: Participate in activites associated with the Ergonomics Committee
  8. Manage plant first aid kit inventories.
