Application requests are now being accepted for the 2010 Haynes International, Inc., and Cabot Club Scholarship Program. Graduating high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of regular full-time Haynes employees with three (3) or more years of service, or children of an employee who died while actively employed as a regular full-time employee with three (3) or more years of service are eligible to compete.
The Haynes / Cabot Club Scholarship Program provides up to five (5) individual scholarship awards of $1,500 each annually. Two scholarships are based upon scholastic achievement; one scholarship for all-around achiever; and two scholarships are based upon engagement in community service activities with active participation in the projects or works of the organization(s). Neither Haynes International nor Cabot Club will, in any way, be involved in the selection process of the scholarship winners. The actual evaluation, interview, and selection of the applicants for scholarship awards are the responsibilities of a scholarship committee. This committee is made up of representatives from the University of Indianapolis, Ball State University, and Indiana University at Kokomo.
Please call Mickey Kelly (765-456-6122), e-mail mkelly@haynesintl.com, or come to the Human Resources department, to make sure you and your child/grandchild qualify for the program. You will then receive a Scholarship Program packet for the high school senior to complete. This year the forms will be available on our internet website and can be filled out electronically.
