An ULTIMET® alloy liner replaced AL-6XN® stainless steel liner for this green pigment mixer bowl. ULTIMET® alloy was selected to give better corrosion and wear resistance. The mixer bowl was lined with ULTIMET® sheet and the blade was weld overlayed using ULTIMET® wire.
AL-6XN is a registered trademark of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. |
| The screw conveyor made with HASTELLOY® C-22® shaft and ULTIMET® flights has performed excellently for over two years continuous service in handling corrosive brines. | ![]() |

HAYNES® HR-160® alloy was selected for calciner tubes in a reducing atmosphere of high sulfur feedstocks at 2000°F (1090°C). |
| HAYNES® 230® catalyst support grids are used in the manufacturing of nitric acid at temperatures up to 1750°F (954°C). By virtue of its higher creep strength, thermal stability and resistance to oxidation and nitriding, 230® alloy grids significantly outperform grids made from other high-temperature alloys. | ![]() |
