Combustors, transition lines, hydraulic lines, casings and seal rings for Boeing 737, Airbus A320, and KC-135 Tankers uses HASTELLOY® X and S alloys, HAYNES® 188 and 718 alloys, and HAYNES® Ti-3AL-2.5V alloy for high temperature strength to resist buckling, oxidation resistance, fatigue due to temperature cycles, weldability, and formability. |
HAYNES® 188, 230®, 617, R-41, and Waspaloy alloys are used on the McDonnell Douglas F15 and General Dynamics F16 fighters for combustor, flameholder, afterburner, inner liners, and nozzles. These alloys were selected for environment of resistance to high temperature oxidation, high temperature strength to resist stretching and buckling, very high strength at intermediate temperatures, formability. |
